Smaller spaces are being opened up to incorporate broader entertainment functions. Often we are removing walls between kitchen and dining rooms and including an open island or peninsula to connect the two. This enables us to expand the size and functionality of kitchen and dining areas and allows these spaces to serve several purposes.
Due to the consistent demand for timeless white kitchens, I find that more clients are open to incorporating color through their dinnerware. I am constantly on the hunt for statement porcelain that ultimately allows for a homeowner to add a semi-permanent commitment to say, a deep burgundy display wall or a blue-green mosaic pattern.
