Designer Ken Gemes created the living room of his 1920's Bronxville, New York, home around the fabric that he chose for the window treatments—a subtle hand-block printed linen from Tyler Graphics featuring shades of taupe and a smoky blue ground.
In this Toronto living room, a couple of elements are at play. A slim fireplace allows a large TV to sit above it without too much neck strain by viewers watching from the sofas or chairs. Also, a dark (possibly marble) surround keeps the TV from creating too much of a black-box effect in the space.
