This finished bedroom, with planning and execution, took four months. The nightstands were custom, the wallpaper handmade, the bedframe, furniture, rugs, lighting and accessories took months to arrive from our vendors. Then we had to consider the electrical work, painting, application of the wallcovering, and the installation of the furniture. The takeaway is that a well-done room takes time, planning and patience, but the outcome is worth waiting for.
A bedroom should be your sanctuary. Ideally, it should have enough room to store personal items and give you space to relax, dream and feel your most comfortable. But when you’re faced with limited square footage, creating a bedroom that does all these things can be challenging. Oftentimes the need for storage and functionality overshadows the desire for style. The result can be a bedroom that feels unloved, cluttered, even lackluster.
